Peggy was born on January 5, 1958, the daughter of Joseph and Pearl Weber. She graduated from LaSalle High School in 1976 and Mt. Mercy College in 1980 with a degree in Business Administration.
Peggy was united in marriage to Dennis Markle on July 18, 1998.
Peggy worked at a variety of places including Wilson Foods, an insurance company, co-owning the Hotel Manning in Keosauqua, and MCI for over 20 years. Peggy and Dennis retired to Florida in 2018.
Most important to Peggy was her family and friends.
She was extremely proud of her Irish-German heritage and visited her extended relatives in NE Iowa as often as possible.
Peggy enjoying staying in contact with life-long classmates starting in first grade through college. Peggy was a member of the CR Jaycees with Toys for Tots being a favorite project.
She had an exceptional memory for people, dates and family events. This complemented her love of board games and puzzles.
Leisure time was filled with shopping/selling antiques, gardening, learning to play the piano and going out with her ABC club friends.
Peggy was huge supporter of Iowa Hawkeye football as a fifteen-year season ticket holder and by attending several bowl games.
Left to cherish her memories are her husband, Dennis, of Pace, Fl; her siblings: Sr. Marlene Bakken ND, Dennis (Jill) Bakken, and Sharon Raghavachary, brothers-in-law Craig Markle, Terry (Kelli) Markle, sisters-in-law DeeAnn (Kevin) Flenker, Sharon (Mark) Smith-Lossiah, Tammy (Denny) DeVore, nieces and nephews; and extended family members.
She was preceded by her parents and mother-in-law. Cremation services were provided by Bayview Fisher-Pou Chapel of Pensacola, FL.
