Beloved mother, Patricia Cates, 77, of Pensacola, Florida, entered God’s Kingdom September 06, 2022, after a continually worsening battle with COPD. After a brief stay at Olive Branch rehabilitation Patricia passed at West Florida hospital under the care of Covenant Hospice.
Patricia was born on August 10, 1945, to Billy Kindrick Bush and Mary Estelle Posey Bush in Andalusia Alabama.
After graduating valedictorian in 1965, Patricia married Robert McGeachy Jr. When Patricia had Pamela, she decided to dedicate her life to being a homemaker and wonderful mother. Being a mother was one of the most important parts of her life. It was a role that gave her much pride and joy. She was passionate about her family. Much of her time was spent taking care of her family and her friends. She provided years of her life being a caregiver to several family members and supporting them through difficult times in their own lives. She made it her mission to improve the lives of others. She was a loving and wonderful woman until the very end and will be greatly missed.
Patricia was predeceased by her husband Jimmy Tillman Cates, her parents Mary Estelle and John P Salter, a brother Winfield Beck and a sister Carolyn Beck, numerous aunts, uncles and cousins she looked forward to seeing them all in Heaven.
