Nell Manning Morgan Burns made her home on Saturday morning, June 24, 2017. Nell was born in Mobile, AL, one of three girls, her sisters who preceded her in death were Mary Ellen Cannon and Annette Kebble. Nell graduated from Archbishop Tollen High School in Mobile, AL. She worked for and retired from Gulf/Mobile Ohio Railroad and the Escambia County Property Appraisal Office of Chris and John R. Jones.
Nell Married her loving husband, Edward Patrick Burns, Jr. (Ed) after WWII and they raised four children: Edd Burns of Tennessee, Mike Burns and Jim Burns of Pensacola, and Mary Ann Smith of Mobile, AL. Nell is survived by her children, six grandchildren, several great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
A funeral mass will be held in memory of Nell Burns on Tuesday, June 27, 2017 at 9:30 AM at St. Ann's Catholic Church in Gulf Breeze with Monsignor Luke Hunt as celebrant. A private burial will follow in Barrancas National Cemetery aboard Naval Air Station, Pensacola, FL.
