Michael Joseph Burns

May 25th, 1987 - October 25, 2021

On the 25th of October 2021, Michael Burns died unexpectedly in his sleep at the age of 34 at his home in Ashburn Virginia.

Mike was a disabled veteran. Mike is survived by his wife, Mickel Burns; his daughter, Ariya Burns; his parents, Michael and Amanda Burns; his grandmother, Wendy Burns; his grandfather, Michael Burns; his grandmother, Anne Burns; his younger sisters, Jasmine and Kate; and his younger brothers, Jason and Nick.

Mike was born on May 25th, 1987. He joined the Air Force after finishing high school in Yokota, Japan and was always lauded as a top performer in his career field before being medically retired from Active Duty as a Technical Sergeant. He completed a degree in IT Management and worked as the Information System Security Manager for Novetta. On April 22nd, 2009, he married Mickel. They were blessed with their beautiful daughter, Ariya, on December 30th, 2015, who was the most important part of his life. Mike enjoyed quality time with friends and family, cars, video games, and football.

Mike was a devoted father, a loving husband, a dutiful son, a steadfast brother, and the best friend you could ever have. He will be missed by everyone that was fortunate enough to know him.

A visitation for Michael will be held Friday, November 5, 2021 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at Bayview Fisher-Pou Chapel, 3351 Scenic Highway 90e, Pensacola, FL 32503, followed by a funeral service from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM.
