She was born on November 2, 1927, to the late Orville and Katherine (Kurfiss) Rawline of Salina, Kansas.
Mary was preceded in death by her husband William Riner Shouse, sons Mark Fouts and Roger Fouts, sister Virgie Barenberg, brothers Ralph Rawline and George Rawline, and special family friend Ron Watkins.
Survivors are her son John Fouts (Michelle), step-daughter Elizabeth Clayton, grandsons Jeth Fouts and Paul Fouts, step-grandson Matthew Clayton (Macee) and, two step-great-grandchildren Addison Clayton and Clark Clayton, and daughter-in-law Sandra Fouts (Roger).
Mary retired from Arkansas Blue Cross Blue Shield in 1989 and moved from Little Rock to Hot Springs with her husband. She volunteered with several organizations for many years. She was an avid reader and also enjoyed visiting antique shops and shopping with friends. Mary moved to Pensacola, Florida in 2019 to be closer to her son and daughter-in-law.
She was a member of the First Christian Church (Disciples of Christ) at 1806 Central Ave., Hot Springs, Arkansas. Memorials to this church would be very appreciated.
The body will be cremated and a family service will be held at a later date.
