Mary Bolling Burkett

1943-2018

On Saturday, January 20, 2018, Mary Alice woke up in heaven. She was a loving wife, Momma, sister, and Mimi. She taught school for 40 years at Oakcrest Elementary. She is preceded in death by her father and mother, Louie and Dorothy Bolling and brother, Louie D. Bolling Jr. (Bud). She is survived by her husband, Wayne, daughter, Tina Burkett Pearse, son-in-Law, Dennis M. Pearse, son, Tony Burkett, daughter-in-Law, Jessica Bright Burkett, grandchildren (who she adored): Braeden Anthony and Molly Mae, sister Dottie Bolling Knight, nieces: Natalie Knight Murray, Dorrie Knight Esposito, Lisa Bolling Anderson, nephew, David Bolling and so many friends. Mary Alice was meek and mild. She was a wonderful woman who loved Jesus, her family, and teaching children. She devoted her life to her family. She will leave a void that is immeasurable.

Friends are cordially invited to a visitation on Thursday, January 25, 2018 from 3:00-4:00 p.m. at Eastern Gate Memorial Funeral Home, immediately followed by a service.
