Mark was survived by his mother; Mardell Wise, his son; Mark Christian Williams, his two sisters: Lala Wise & Becky Shields (Jack), and his two brothers: Ty Wise (Mary) & Greg Wise. He also leaves behind many nieces, nephews, and dear friends.
Mark was preceded in death by his father; Charles Henderson Williams, his step-father; Robert Wise, his uncle; James Williams, his aunt; Winifred West, and his grandmother Aggie Dean Williams.
Mark grew up and lived in Mallory Heights, which is in Pensacola, Florida. He received an Associate’s Degree from Pensacola Junior College. He worked with CRG Productions as a Professional Fund Raiser and Office Manager. Mark raised funds for the Alabama State Troopers Association and built relationships with the highway patrol. He assisted in fundraising events such as: Country and Western concerts with headliners like; Tanya Tucker, Jerry Reed, Jenny C. Riley and Lori Morgan.
Mark was a Professional Fund Raiser and Office Manager with The Gehl Group. He worked closely with the Miami Dolphins football players and area high school basketball players for the fundraising event held annually at the West Florida Field House. Through telemarketing to sell tickets for the annual event, proceeds from the ticket sales were donated to the local city fire departments.
Mark was Regional Director/Vice President of United Veterans Association. He worked to provide a stable environment for veterans of WWII, The Korean Conflict and Vietnam. Through telemarketing, fund raising and thrift stores to raise funds for the United Veterans Associations’ home in Greenville, South Carolina.
He was President and Founder of Outreach for Humanity. He raised funds in order to open shelters for homeless men throughout the United States. Mark helped men with successful re-entry into the workforce and familial relationships. He helped men maintain sobriety through AA/NA meetings and assisted the men in open lines of contact with their families.
He never met a stranger, and he would do anything for anybody. He had a very special gift to articulate life’s philosophical ideals and lessons to anyone regardless of age. He enjoyed playing the guitar, bowling, fishing, camping, and generally being outdoors. He cherished his relationships with his mother, son, brothers, sisters, nieces, nephews, and his friends.
The family would like to express their deepest gratitude to his mother, his beloved friends, and the nurses and staff of West Florida Hospital ICU. Your kindness and care was a true blessing. The family would also like for anyone not wishing to send flowers, to perhaps consider donating to the Hillcrest Church of Pensacola, Florida.
Bayview Fisher-Pou Chapel will be hosting services for Mark, November 15, 2020 at 2:00 pm with visitation to follow.
