Margaret Patricia Hussong

1932-2012

Margaret Patricia Powers Hussong, 80, of Pensacola, went to be with her Lord Friday, June 22, 2012. Mrs. Hussong was born January 3, 1932 in Orlando, Florida to James Cecil Powers and Edna Amold Powers. She had been a resident of Pensacola for 52 years. She attended Florida State University, lettering in synchronized swimming in 1952 and received her Bachelor’s Degree in Education. She met her husband, James P. Hussong, while at FSU and they were married on June 20, 1954. Mrs. Hussong served alongside her husband in the ministry at Warrington United Methodist Church, Richard’s Memorial United Methodist Church, and Myrtle Grove United Methodist Church where she was a member.

She is survived by her husband of 58 years, James P. Hussong of Pensacola; son William A. Hussong and wife, Faye, of Mobile, AL; daughter Linda S. Danks and husband, Thomas, of Pensacola. She is also survived by her grandchildren, Christine P. Danks, Matthew A. Hussong, Hope A. Hussong, and Katherine M. Danks.

Funeral services will be held at 2:30pm, Wednesday, June 27, 2012 at Myrtle Grove United Methodist Church with Rev. Winston Jay, Rev. Riley Richardson, and Rev. Jenni Hendrix officiating.

Pallbearers will be Thomas Danks, William A. Hussong, Frank Benson, Allen Barlow, Kenneth Danks, and James Keck.

Interment will follow at Bayview Memorial Park.

The family will receive friends from 6:00pm-8:00pm, Tuesday, June 26, 2012 at the funeral home.
