Marga was born as Marga Ann Pitts in Cedartown Georgia, to Maywood Felton and Hattie Jane (Tillman) Pitts. The family moved to Pensacola in 1941, and Marga spent the rest of her life in the Pensacola and Gulf Breeze area.
On June 17, 1950 she married William J. Huggins Jr. (Junior), and the couple raised four children. William Rickey Huggins (Bonnie), Linda Jane Huggins (Bob Beck), Scott Bradley Huggins, and Judith Ann L'Orange. All of whom reside in the Gulf Breeze area.Marga was a very talented person and was never afraid to take on a new challenge. She was very skilled at any type of sewing. She enjoyed finding antique furniture, stripping it down and restoring it to its former glory. A very accomplished artist in both oil and water colors, was involved in local art festivals and the Quayside Art Gallery in the late 70's and early 80's.
She was preceded in death by her parents and husband. Her survivors include her two sisters, Jetta Lenox (Glenn), Charlene Padgett, four children, seven grandchildren, soon to be four great grandchildren, and many nephews, nieces, cousins and others that loved her. Marga was of tremendous support to her husband Junior. A great inspiration, disciplinarian, and mentor to her four children and she will truly be missed by all that knew her.
Services will be held at Bayview Fisher-Pou Chapel. 3351 Scenic Hwy, Pensacola. Visitation will be at 1pm, and the service will be at 2pm, Friday March 7.
The family respectfully requests no food be sent to the house. Flowers are welcome.
