1930-2016
Lloydene “Terri” Haveard, 86, of Cantonment, FL died Sunday November 13, 2016. Terri was born to the late Lloyd C. Russell and Denaige T. Russell on August 30, 1930 in Tacoma, Washington. In 1951, she married Charles E. Haveard, an Army Veteran. She travelled the world with her four children as an Army wife, before moving to Pensacola, FL. in 1968, after her husband retired from military service. In 1969, Terri accepted a position with Monsanto Corp. until her retirement in 1989.
Throughout her life the one constant that remained the same was her love of bowling. From the young age of 16 until she passed, Terri was an avid bowler and a member of various teams and leagues for almost 60 years. Over the years she gained many new friends, scored numerous victories, and evaded the dreaded gutter balls.
A devoted wife and mother, Terri was preceded in death by her parents and her daughter, Sharon Haveard Teague. She is survived by her husband of 65 years, Charles E. Haveard Sr. and her three children: Charles E. Haveard Jr. and his wife Peggy Wingard Haveard of Montgomery, AL, Debby Griffin and her husband Ralph Griffin of Cantonment, FL; and Michael J. Haveard and his wife Melanie J. Haveard of Pensacola, FL; her six grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
Friends are cordially invited to a visitation with the family on Wednesday, November 16, 2016 from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm at Eastern Gate Memorial Funeral Home. A Rosary will precede the visitation beginning at 4:30 pm. A memorial service will be held at 10:00 am on Thursday the 17th at St. Jude Catholic Church (303 Rocky Ave. Cantonment, FL). The internment will follow at Eastern Gate Memorial Gardens.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Terri’s name to St. Jude Catholic Church 303 Rocky Ave. or the charity of your choice.
