Lloyd Donald Rhodes

Lloyd D. “Dusty” Rhodes, passed away December 18, 2023. He was born October 30, 1934 in Baker, FL, later moving to Pensacola. He worked in his family’s service station until he graduated from Pensacola High School in 1952. Upon graduation, Dusty went to work at Chemstrand. He left Chemstrand to join the U.S. Army, later returning to Chemstrand and retiring from Monsanto in 1982.

Dusty loved God, his church, his many friends and his family unconditionally.

He is predeceased by his mother and father, Ed and Lucille Rhodes; daughter, Tammy Kagarise; one granddaughter, two great grandchildren; brothers-in-law, Burton Gray, Jim Taylor and Raymond Taylor; and sister-in-law, Florence Taylor.

Dusty is survived by his wife, Geraldine Rhodes; daughter, Tina Martin (Jack); stepsons, David Pitts, Jr. and Eddie Pitts; sisters, Sandy Gray and Diane Hendrix (Jim); sisters-in-law, Jean Palmer (Wayne) and Beverly Taylor; brother-in-law, Clennon Taylor (Heidi); grandsons, William Kagarise (Kristi), Russel Kagarise, Trey Campbell (Alesha); granddaughter, T.J. Lepley (Cody); 10 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren.

The family will receive friends from 2:00 p.m. until 2:30 p.m., Friday, December 22, 2023 at Bayview Fisher-Pou Chapel with the service beginning at 2:30 p.m. officiated by Dr. Jerry Passmore.

Interment will follow Bayview Memorial Park with military honors.

Pallbearers will be William Kagarise, Trey Campbell, Chuck Taylor, David Pitts, Jr., Patrick Bridges and Tal Gray.
