I served with Sgt. Lopez at Cam Rahn Bay Vietnam in 1966. We spoke on the phone many times in the intervening years. He was a friend and mentor till his final days.  He was a good man.

Lindy was an inspiration to all who had the honor of knowing him.  His sage guidance and wisdom will surely be missed.  Beginning with his military career during WW II he proved to be one of our true “Great American” hero’s.  After completing a long and successful military career, in defense of our nation, he continued to serve God and mankind for over 5 decades.  Our deepest sympathy to the family and our prayers that they receive strength during this time of loss.  God bless, strengthen and protect you all!  Rest in peace Lindy, in the caring hands of our Lord and Savior!

We miss talking to Lindy!  We also miss his great sense of humor and the way he made you feel special!  We are so glad that we got to know him!  He was a wonderful and caring friend to my dad!  He will always live in our hearts!
