Linda Patricia Uman

Linda Patricia Uman, born Linda Patricia Miller on February 21, 1957 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania to Richard B.C. and Laura May Miller, passed away on Friday February 24, 2017, after a long illness. She joined her parents, her sisters Cathleen Demas and Mary Ann Balfe, and her brother John Miller in Heaven. Linda left behind her sister Laura Stromgren and her brothers Eddie Miller and Richard Miller JR; her daughters Michelle Martinez, Christal Miller, Laura Mason and Mary Ann Poore ; her grandchildren Marcus, Joshua, Catherine, William, Damien, Ashlee, Erica and Patricia; and several nieces, nephews, and close friends both near and far from her. Linda loved time spent painting in her home or with her dog, Shadow. When her health allowed, Linda could be found with friends at the Bingo Hall. Vivacious and full of life she was known as “mom” to her daughters’ friends and could always be found in the center of the conversation getting everyone involved. She never allowed her disabilities to hold her back and she enjoyed finding the laughter in every moment, giving her daughters a solid foundation for what a woman and mother should be. She will be remembered in all her glory at Eastern Gates Memorial Garden on West Nine Mile Rd on Saturday, March 4, 2017. Visitation will be from 10 am to 11 am, service and burial immediately following. There will be an opportunity for fellowship following the service at Southpaw Grill.
