Linda Lou Handy

She was born in Groveport, OH on February 18, 1942, a daughter of the late John and Roxanne Beery, and brother David, and sister Trinia. Born during WWII she found herself the matriarch of her large family for the last 22 years of her life. She truly loved her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren with all her heart. We shall all feel the void left in our hearts from her earthly departure, but each of us will be filled with the individual memories we have of the times we spent with her.

Left behind to cherish her memory is her loving husband, William C. Handy, Sr. son Michael Swimm, daughters Julie Swimm and Lori (Ronald) Agler, daughter and son-in-law, Cynthia and Jesse, Villarreal and son and daughter-in-law William and Anna Handy, seventeen grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren and not to be forgotten, Lola Marlene, her rescue poodle from The Little Blue House.

The family would like to thank the staff and nurses at West Florida Hospital Covenant Care Hospice, for their loving care.

Eastern Gate Memorial Funeral Home is entrusted with the arrangements. Visitation and Rosary will be held from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. at St. Anne Catholic Church (Bellview) and Mass at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, 24 December 2019. She will be laid to rest at Barrancas National Cemetery at 11 a.m. 26 December 2019. In lieu of flowers, please donate to The Humane Society.
