

Kenneth Dunn, 79, passed away on 09/13/2023 in Pensacola, Florida at Select Specialty Hospital, surrounded by friends and family. He was the husband of Penelope (Penny) Dunn. They shared 35 years of marriage together.
Born in Fairhope, AL, he was the son of Lulamae Monroe and James Dunn, Jr. He proudly graduated from Fairhope High School in 1962 and University of Alabama in 1967. He also graduated from University of West Florida in 1976, and Florida State in 1980. He was employed at Pensacola State College (formerly Pensacola Junior College) as a professor.
He belonged to Saint Catholic Church, where he developed many close relationships with his brothers and sisters in Christ. Kenneth K4SVX was also an avid ham radio operator, having obtained his ticket in 1960. He was an active member of the Milton Amateur Radio Club.
He is survived by his wife, Penny Dunn; children Cassandra (Steve) Robertson, Crystal (Chris) Dunn, Chadwick (Michelle) Dunn, Celeste Dunn, and Candace Dunn; his grandchildren Stevie Robertson III,He is preceded in death by his father, James Robert Dunn; mother, Lulamae Dunn; brother, James Robert Dunn; brother Franklin Dunn; and sister, Peggy Barnes. Connor Rodgers, Cadence Rodgers, Julia “Lizzie” Wolfe, and Jade McGriff; and Coco the Dog.
A gathering will be held on 09/20/2023 at Eastern Gate Memorial Funeral Home and Memorial Gardens, located at 1985 W 9 Mile Rd, Pensacola, FL 32534. Visitation will be at 10:00 AM with services at 11:00 AM. A Mass of Special Intention will be held 11:00 AM on 10/01/2023 at Saint Michael’s Mission at Saint Andrew’s Anglican Catholic Church, located at 1101 S Presley St., Atmore, AL 36502.
