Joyce Ann Johnson

Born in Flomaton, Alabama on July 12, 1940. She was the daughter of the late Victor W. Johnson and the late Nellie Godwin Barnes. Joyce graduated from Flomaton High School in Flomaton, Alabama. She worked various jobs throughout her life, but was retired at the time of her passing.

She was a resident of Westpointe Retirement Community and enjoyed various activities during her time there; such as Bingo, Word Find Puzzles, Reading and interacting with other residents at Westpointe.

Joyce is survived by her Son William (Billy) Merritt, Brother Richard Barnes, Granddaughters: Nikki Merritt and Jendy Godwin, two Aunts: Jess Haddock and Bess Williamson, and numerous Cousins.

No Funeral Services will be held at Joyce’s request. Instead of flowers please make a donation to a charitable organization of your choice in her name.

Joyce Ann you will be greatly missed but there is great comfort in knowing you are at peace with God.
