Born in Athens, Alabama to John Dee Adams and Eunice Elizabeth (Jones), he served in the Army for four years and worked at Monsanto for thirty-seven years in positions that spanned manufacturing floor operations to critical management roles.
He taught Sunday School, served as deacon and a member of the Disaster Recovery Team. He helped launch the First Impressions Ministry at Hillcrest Church.
He adored his family, his church, Alabama football, golf with lifelong friends and songs that tell a story.
He was preceded in death by his father John and mother Eunice, sister Gwen, daughter Tammy and many well-loved extended family members and friends.
He is survived by his wife of almost 60 years, Dot Adams (Stacey), two daughters Lisa Adams (Mike Uster), Tonya Adams Nelson (Mark Nelson), cherished extended family members, church family and friends.
A memorial service will be held at Hillcrest Church on Tuesday, June 29 at 1 pm.
