John was born June 25, 1935 in Pensacola, Florida to John Edward Ware and Grace Paulsen Ware. He served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War for two years and in the Army Reserves for six years. John worked as an electrician on helicopters at NARF (civil service). After John retired from civil service at NAS Pensacola, he obtained his real estate broker license working for Barnett-Eubanks Realty. He then opened Ware Realty in 1984 and became a VA appraiser. John even helped write the state exam for the State of Florida appraisal license. He retired for the second time in 1995. John was president of the Panhandle Winnies and enjoyed playing golf with the Sand Crabs Golf Club and the Pinseekers Golf Club. John enjoyed camping, golfing and spending times with his grandsons.
He is survived by his wife of 66 years, Nadine Ware; daughter, Christy Dewise and husband, Keith; daughter Cindy Ware and husband, Randall Bradshaw; 3 grandsons, Austin Dewise, Joshua Dewise and Jacob Dewise; sister-in-law, Pauline Green; sister-in-law, Marie Bowman.
A visitation for John will be held Wednesday, May 8, 2024 from 2:30 PM to 3:30 PM at Bayview Fisher-Pou Chapel, 3351 Scenic Highway, Pensacola, FL. Funeral services will occur Wednesday, May 8, 2024 at
3:30 PM at Bayview Fisher-Pou Chapel. Interment will follow at Bayview Memorial Park with military honors.
