1930 – 2011

Jodie Coy Story, Jr., 81, of Pensacola, died Sunday, May 29, 2011.

Mr. Story was born March 17, 1930 in Hartselle, Alabama. He served in the U. S. Army during World War II. Mr. Story was a longtime resident where he was a member of Forestdale Church of the Nazarene where he was a Trustee and on the Board of Directors. He received the Distinguished Service Award by the Nazarene World Missionary Society on March 31, 2002. Upon moving to Pensacola he became a member of Olive Baptist Church.

He is survived by his wife, Sylvia Story; stepdaughters, Pam Hill, Sharon Aydelott and Patricia Hawkins; daughter, Vicky Wesson; son, Dennis Goodwin; brother, Ralph Story and wife Peggy; step grandchildren, Justin Allender, Brianna Allender, Brandon Aydelott and Elizabeth Aydelott; and many other grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held at 4:00 p.m., Friday, June 03, 2011 at Bayview Fisher-Pou Chapel with Reverend Dwight DeNegly of Forestdale Church of the Nazarene officiating.

Interment will follow at Bayview Memorial Park.

The family will receive friends from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m., Thursday, June 02, 2011 at the funeral home.
