Joanne P. Sykes, 83 , of Pensacola, Florida, Our mother went home to be with our Lord on May 18, 2016. She was an active member of St. john's Episcopal Church. She was a school teacher for 39 years, much of it at Sherwood Elementary. She is survived by her daughter, Paula Bailey; son-in-law, Johnny Bailey; daughter, Rachael Mayer; grandchildren, Zachary Amerphol, Noah Steene, Jerica Mayer, and Stephanie Prudome.Visitation will take place from 12-1PM on Thursday, May 26 at St. John's Espicopal Church. Memorial Service will begin at 1PM. Inurnment will follow at St. John 's Episcopal Church. Oak Lawn Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
