Jerral J. Lewis

Jerral and Lillian (Gail), married in 1955, were the parents to four children—Gary, Roy, Donna, and Melissa—and the proud grand and great grandparents to several. They were faithfully married for 63 years. He spent several of their last years together single handedly caring for his sweet Gail in her sickness.

Jerral was the perfect example of commitment to his family, friends and the church that he loved. He was a member of West Pensacola Baptist Church where he served as faithful deacon, Sunday School teacher, and choir member—if the doors were open, you always saw Jerral and Lillian. If you were in the hospital, sick at home or just missed a Sunday, you got a personal visit or at least a telephone call of encouragement. Jerral was also a member of the Judean’s Gospel quartet and traveled to many churches spreading God’s word through music.

Jerral was born to Ephraim and Mary Lewis on January 23, 1934 and was the last surviving of 9 children.

Daddy, Grandpa, Brother-in-Christ will be greatly missed, but he is rejoicing in Heaven with his family and once again singing the songs he loved.

A visitation for Jerral will be held Thursday, May 25, 2023 from 2:30 PM to 3:00 PM at Eastern Gate Memorial Funeral Home, 1985 West Nine Mile Road, Pensacola, FL 32534, followed by a celebration of life funeral service with committal prayer beginning at 3:00 PM.
