Jean Butler McCauley, aged 90, passed away on Thursday, October 19, 2023. She was born on November 28, 1932, in Tallahassee, Florida, and resided in Pensacola for the majority of her life. Jean graduated from Pensacola Junior College with a major in English. Although she worked part-time at NAS, her most cherished role was that of a devoted wife and loving mother to her children. In her leisure time, she took pleasure in activities such as gardening, sewing, canning, and cooking. Jean adored celebrating holidays and birthdays with her family, treasuring those precious moments.
Jean was a member of Myrtle Grove Baptist Church, and we find solace in knowing that she is now free from the clutches of Alzheimer's, rejoicing in the company of our Lord and Savior.
Jean's beloved husband of 64 years, Clyde R. McCauley, passed away in 2019. She is survived by her daughters, Jane Bonelli (John) of Pensacola, Joan Miller (Joe) of Cairo, GA, and Suzanne Vickrey (Kevin) of Molino; her sons, Bill McCauley (Teri) of Gulf Shores, AL, and Randy McCauley (Stephanie) of Molino.
