Janice S Wilson

Janice was the wife of 45 years to Wilborn Harrison Wilson Jr. Ret LCMDR US Navy.

Janice was born in Graceville, FL on October 28, 1937 @ 4.5 pounds to Maudrine Skinner. She was married as a teenager to Earlie B Fowler. She worked in a factory before she earned her high school diploma scoring at the top of her class before beginning her career with Southern Bell Telephone Company which later became AT&T.

Janice was Baptist by faith and attended Olive Baptist Church in Pensacola. She was baptized as a young woman in Holmes Creek near Bonifay, FL. She will be remembered for her big heart, her fierce love for her family, friends and for all living things beautiful, great and small.

Janice is survived by her husband of 45 years, W H Wilson, caregiver Gary Medley, Sister Norma (James Earl) Akers, Brothers: James Earl Adams (Elaine Quattlebaum), Ronnie(Ada) Adams, Don (Jackie) Adams,Terry (Sue) Adams, Sister-in-law Mary Mills. Children; Elaine (Kenny) Folsom of Marianna, Gwendolyn Wilson Khalil of Pensacola, David A Wilson of Paris, France, adopted daughter Debbie Stevens Phillips of Pace.

Grandchildren; Tanner (Alicia Boutwell) Padgett, Ryan (Ciara) Folsom, Luke D (Mary Worchol) Wheeler, Jennie (Mark) Farrar, Rusty Mitchell, Miranda Mitchell, Leila Alkatib, Yasmine Alkatib.

Great Grandchildren; Grace L Padgett, Mitchell Boutwell, Finley D Folsom, Piper C Folsom, Emma Wheeler, Noah Wheeler, Alyssa Farrar, Jordyn Farrar and numerous cousins, nieces and nephews.

Janice was preceded in death by a daughter Yma Yvonne Yates, a son Shannon Paul Yates, a miscarried child, mother Maudrine Skinner Adams, step-father JR "Bill" Adams, brother-in-law Jim (Gloria) Wilson, sister-in-law Florence Adams, grandparents Molly & Oliver Skinner, former husbands Billy G Qualls, Lloyd P Yates and Earlie B Fowler, nephew Randy Adams, numerous aunts, uncles and cousins. May they each and every one RIP.

Honorary Pallbearers: Luke Wheeler/James Earl Akers, Tanner Padgett, Ryan Folsom, Terry Adams, Kenny Folsom and Gary Medley.

A Visitation will take place on Friday September 23, 2022 from 11am-12pm with a Funeral Service honoring Janice at 12pm at Eastern Gate Funeral Home, 1985 W. 9 Mile Road, Pensacola , FL 32534. Committal Services will follow at 2 pm at Barrancas National Cemetery. (Procession will leave from Eastern Gate at 1pm).
