To the Brown Family,
My wife and I lived at 7 Victoria Place from 1981-1998, and the Browns were our favorite neighbors. We are so sorry to hear of your loss. Mr. Brown was truly a kind and generous man. Alan And Vicki Woolford

Many years ago Mr. Brown was my boss at Baptist Hospital in Personnel.  He was a great boss and really cared for his employees.  Heaven has gained a good man.

To Jim's family:  This likely didn't get passed down to the family, so I recount it now.  I came to Pensacola in 1965 as a new gastroenterologist and shortly thereafter, we established a gastroenterology laboratory for Baptist Hospital.  Jim was the administrative head of that unit and I was medical director.  Activity began somewhat slowly as physicians became accustomed to using the lab.  We hired an LPN for the lab.  She was a middle-aged woman who had been a hair-dresser before she went into nursing.

Jim and I were about equally bald. One day as he and I were talking about physician use of the GE lab, I said that we'd get increasing use of the lab and it wouldn't be a money-loser for Baptist Hospital.  And besides, " if business gets slow, our nurse can always do our hair!"

My association with Jim was always pleasant and productive.  He left the world a better place!

Mr. Brown was a pleasure to help take care of. Prayers of strength and comfort for his family.

Dear Jim, I am so sorry for  the loss of your Father. I am sure with the fine son and family he had to be a wonderful man & example for all. May God give you peace & comfort in all the wonderful memories. Praying for all!

I was privileged to know Jim when he was Director of Personnel at Baptist Hospital.  I was his secretary and I just loved this gentle man.  He taught me much.  Will always remember his pipe and that twinkle in his eye.

Our love to the entire Brown family for the good times we all shared together.  Jim was a wonderful family man and leader during his life.  He was a dear friend to our father, Ric, while they resided at Carpenter's Creek Community.  He will be missed by his family, friends and the community.  Love, Page and Rick Ciordia

My mom, Nell Gibson, was also a resident of Carpenter's Creek. I remember Mr. Brown well. He always had such a happy expression. Enjoyed reading about his life. May all of you find peace and joy in knowing his life was well lived.
