James Fred Edgar

Mr. James F. “Jim” Edgar, age 82 of Pensacola, died Wednesday, July 26, 2017 in Pensacola. He was born January 8, 1935 in Rocky River, OH to Fred James Edgar and Amelia Fliech Edgar. Mr. Edgar was a US Navy Veteran of the Korean Conflict and was a banker by trade. He had many hobbies in his life which included fishing, camping and boating, watching football and was a motorcycle enthusiast. He was very talented and loved to tie flys for fishing, leatherworking, wood burning and refurbishing old cars. In his younger years he played sports of all kinds, was a drummer in his high school band and was very proud of being an Eagle Scout.

Mr. Edgar is survived by his wife of 64 years: Frances E. Edgar; two sons: Miles James Edgar and wife Rhonda and Mark James Edgar and wife Karen Lynn; daughter: Melinda Faith and husband Patrick R. Cassleman; six grandchildren; seven great grandchildren and one sister: Eileen Charlotte Westfall. He was preceded in death by his parents.

Visitation will be held from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at Bayview Fisher-Pou Chapel in Pensacola Monday, July 31, 2017. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM Monday, July 31, 2017 at Bayview Fisher-Pou Chapel in Pensacola. Burial will follow in Bayview Memorial Park. Arrangements are under the direction of Bayview Fisher-Pou Funeral Home in Pensacola.
