James was born to James, Sr. and Ida Bush Chastain on January 13, 1966, at the Navy Hospital in Pensacola.
He grew up, graduated high school and worked in Pensacola during his lifetime.
James loved camping, music festivals, Florida Gators, racing and, as he liked to complain, attending family events. If you were his family or friend, he always had your back.
He is preceded in death by his parents; his sister, Mary Janice Collins; his niece, Angel Holland; and his brother-in-law, Roger Collins.
James is survived by his sisters, Eva Chastain and Barbara Gayle Holland, niece, nephews, great-nephews, cousins and other family and friends.
A visitation for James will be held Thursday, March 29, 2024, from 9:30 AM to 10:00 AM at Eastern Gate Memorial Funeral Home, 1985 West Nine Mile Road, Pensacola, FL 32534, followed by a funeral service from 10 AM to 11:00 AM.
