Hilda Elizabeth Fox "Pat", of Pensacola, FL passed away on March 28, 2025. She was born on May 5, 1930, in Lawrence County, Tennessee to parents, Fred and Dessie Holley. As a young girl, she grew up in a small town in Tennessee with her sister and 4 brothers, LaRue, Archie, Larry, Windell and Alfred.
Before moving to Pensacola, Pat worked in Illinois at the Goodyear Tire Company as a young girl. Once relocated, Pat took a job at the Shrimp Box on Navy Blvd where she later met her late husband, James Harvey Fox, Sr. Together, they raised their family here in Pensacola, FL. Hilda worked as gift wrap specialist for Gayfers in Pensacola for many years, gifted with the ability to help others for their special moments. She also selflessly donated Rh-negative plasma throughout her young life, to help pregnant mothers carry Rh positive babies safely. Later in life, she joined the Red Hat Group in Pensacola for many years.
Pat is preceded in death by her husband, James Harvey Sr; her parents; her daughter, Joni Williamson; and her siblings, Archie, Larry, Windell, Alfred and LaRue. She is survived by her children, James (Jim) Harvey Fox Jr. of Minneola, FL and Shelia R. Fox, of Pensacola, FL. She is also survived by her grandchildren, Jason Preston Fox and Justin Mitchell Fox.
Pat enjoyed her downtime suntanning at Pensacola and Gulf Beaches. Pat was known for her love of shopping and always being fashionable. She was also known for her outstanding cornbread dressing during the holidays and her green thumb abilities to care for and nurse any plant back to health.
The family would like to thank the staff at Life Care Center of Pensacola for all their care and compassion they showed our Mom.
Family and friends are invited to attend a visitation on Saturday, April 12th at 10am at Bayview Fisher-Pou Chapel, with a funeral service to begin at 11am. Burial at Bayview Memorial Park will follow immediately after her services.
