In loving memory of Sara Helen "NaNa" Boston, 77, of Pensacola, who was called home by the Lord on Sunday, October 20th, 2013. She has gone to see her loving husband of 55 years, John Ross Boston; her parents, James Britt and Kitty Moore; her sister, Frances Rogers; her brothers, Gilbert, James Britt, Jimmie and James Charles Moore; her beloved Alicia and Tia McShane and Susan Barnhill.
Those left to mourn her include her four daughters and son-in-law, Michael and Sara Jinnett, Mary Berry, Janet Boston and Barbara Boston; her grandson and wife, Don and Sarah Berry; her grandsons William "Scooter" Barnhill, Joseph Michael Barnhill, and Isaiah Barnhill; her great grandchildren, Aidan, Kaitlyn and Tristan Berry and her little ones Ava, Michael and Khloe Money. Her memory will also be cherished by her sisters and brothers-in-law, Archie and Jannet Crawford, Bill and Punt Sheppard, Bill and Jackie Alexander and their children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. She will be remembered lovingly by her many nieces and nephews.
Helen "NaNa" Boston worked as a greeter at the Oak Lawn Funeral home and local Dignity Funeral Homes for 10 years before she retired. She worked for Dr. Nell Potter for many years as well. Her most cherished job was that of an Air Force wife for 23 years of active duty. She was an active member of Myrtle Grove United Methodist Church for 43 years and sang in the Chancel Choir for 38 years. She started singing in choirs when she was only 16 years old. She was also a member of the "Sweet Myrtles" Red Hat Society. She will be greatly missed by everyone who ever had the great fortune of knowing her!
Pallbearers are Michael Jinnett, William "Scooter" Barnhill, Joseph Michael Barnhill, Gerald Garner, Daniel Garner and James Boston.
Visitation will be at 10:00 am and services at 10:30 am at Myrtle Grove United Methodist Church (1030 N. 57th Ave. Pensacola) on Monday, October 28, 2013, followed by the burial at Barrancas National Cemetery. Services will be officiated by Reverend Riley Richardson and Oak Lawn Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. Flowers may be sent to the funeral home or the church.
