Harvey Gilmore Reaves, 97, passed away on Thursday, March 4,2021. He moved to Pensacola in 1948 with his loving wife Eva.
Harvey is survived by two daughters, Glenda (Tony) Parker and Charlene (James) Myers; five grandchildren: Jay (Julie) Reaves, Justin (Stephanie) Parker, Shelly (Kelly) Parker, Chris Myers, and Matt (Brittny) Myers; and seven great grandchildren: Dylan, Drew, Lily, Ella, Gage, Graham, and Gear. He was preceded in death by his wife, Eva, their two sons Ricky and Kevin, grandson Cory, two brothers and three sisters.
Harvey was a WWII veteran. He worked at Smith's Sunbeam Bakery until he retired.
Harvey was a longtime active member of Oakcrest Baptist Church and Myrtle Grove Baptist Church where he served as Deacon, treasurer, and in many other areas. Harvey will be missed deeply by family and friends.
Visitation will be held Friday, March 12th at Eastern Gate Funeral Home at 9 a.m., services at 10 a.m.. Then he will be laid to rest at Pensacola Memorial Gardens after the service.
