“JOANN”

1934 – 2014

Giovanna R. Pacifico “JoAnn”, 81, of Pensacola, went to be with her Lord, Sunday, May 11, 2014. She was a seamstress, wife and mother.

JoAnn was born in Avellino, Italy, January 27, 1934, moving to Pensacola in April 1971 from Aberdare, England. She was a member of Little Flower Catholic Church.

JoAnn is preceded in death by her parents, Antonio Russo and Virginia Desimoni Russo; daughter, Anna Marie Williams; sisters and brothers-in-law, Margherita and Pasquale Cristofaro and Rosa and Francisco Pacifico.

She is survived by her husband, Antonio Pacifico; son, Gino Pacifico and wife Lisa of San Antonio, TX; daughter, Angela Leopold and husband Tristin of Perth, Australia; son-in-law, Carl Williams of Pensacola; brothers, Jimmy Russo of California, Alessandro Russo and wife Anna of Peterboro, England and Erico Russo and wife Paulina of Peterboro, England; sister, Macalota Lockin of New London, CT; five grandchildren and six great grandchildren.

The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m., Friday, May 16, 2014 at Little Flower Catholic Church with the Rev. Fr. Eugene Casserly as celebrant.

Interment will follow at Bayview Memorial Park.

The family will receive friends from 5:30 p.m. until 7:30 p.m., Thursday, May 15, 2014 at Bayview Fisher-Pou Chapel.
