Gerald "Jerry" Lawrence Brown

Jerry was born in Langdale, Alabama on February 26, 1934 as the only child of Willie & Wenonah Brown. He attended Lafayette Lanier High School and graduated in 1952. Following High School, Jerry proudly spent 9 years in the United States Marine Corp before honorably discharging as a corporal (E4). After discharging from the military, Jerry enrolled at Alabama Polytechnical Institute (now known as Auburn University) in the School of Textiles. Following college, Jerry became employed in the photo industry working at Bell & Howell, Vivitar, and Ansco before becoming southeast regional sales manager for Konica. He later moved to Pensacola, Florida in 1986 and became owner of seven Camera America stores in Pensacola, Milton, and Auburn, Alabama. He sold his business in 1996 and retired. Later, he purchased Ambassador Cleaners and retired a 2nd time after selling the business. He and his wife Pat spent his later years traveling to South America, Mexico, and Europe, taking numerous cruise ship adventures and driving many trips across the United States in a motor home to Alaska and Canada. He spent many days enjoying his passions...golfing, fishing, and watching Auburn sports.

Jerry is preceded in death by his father and mother Willie and Wenonah Brown. He is survived by his wife Patricia Randles Brown, 4 children: Connie Nixon of Valley, Alabama; Dale Brown of Hartselle, Alabama; William (Bill) Brown of Pensacola, Florida; and Jennifer Chism of Pensacola, Florida. 2 stepsons: Michael McMurray of Opelika, Alabama and Douglas McMurray of Tallahassee, Florida. Jerry has 6 grandchildren, 4 great grandchildren and 1 great great grandchild and several cousins.

Visitation is Wednesday December 27th at 10:00am. Directly following visitation, Funeral Services will commence at 11:00am. Visitation and Services will be located at Bayview Fisher-Pou Chapel 3351 Scenic Hwy Pensacola, Fla 32503.

His cousin Pastor Michael Bledsole will be officiating.

United States Marine Corps will be acting as Pallbearers.
