After graduating high school at Central High School in Florence, Alabama, she married Donald H. Fowler and they were married for close to 65 years.
They had two daughters, Rhonda Fowler and Sherry Chancellor.
Frances spent many years working for Dr. Nell Potter and met many young people in the Pensacola area in her work there. She was much loved by everyone she came into contact with both on her job and in her community. Children were especially drawn to her and her many nieces and nephews adored her. If you were lucky enough to be her friend, she was fiercely loyal and always ready to help in any way.
She is survived by her husband, Donald Fowler, daughters, Rhonda Fowler and Sherry Chancellor (Kendall), grandsons, Shawn Black (Valarie), Kyle Black (Jessica), Eric Chancellor (Lindsay) and Rhett Chancellor. She is also survived by great-grandsons, Camron Black, Landon Black and Benjamin Chancellor.
She was predeceased by her parents, Henry and Lucille Richardson, six brothers and one sister. She was also predeceased by her beloved great-grandson, Andre Black. Also left to cherish her memory are two brothers, Jack and Larry Richardson (Hazel), sisters-in-law, Christine Richardson and Faye Morris and a brother-in-law, Warren Fowler (Denise), and numerous nieces and nephews who she adored, including one special niece, Suzy Young, who stayed with her on her last nights.
The family asks that you remember Frances for her boundless love of family and friends, her enjoyment of growing and caring for flowers, as well as her sense of fun and always being ready to go on an adventure even if it was just to go to an antique mall. Although terrified, she really enjoyed a visit to Kenya, Africa, and especially liked the giraffes. She thought Germany was the most beautiful country in Europe and enjoyed her trips there immensely.
