Eva Grace Eckhoff

Eva Grace Eckhoff, 91, of Pensacola, died, Wednesday, June 05, 2013 at home.

Mrs. Eckhoff was born January 22, 1922 in Wayne County, Mississippi to Johnny Lloyd Averett and Willie McRae Averett. She received her Master's Degree in Education from the University of Southern Mississippi. Mrs. Eckhoff and her husband moved to Pensacola in the summer of 1954 from Purvis, Mississippi. She taught first grade for 55 years; 39 of those years for the Escambia County School District. Mrs. Eckhoff is a member of the First Baptist Church, joining when she and her husband moved to Pensacola.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Lester W. Eckhoff.

Survivors include her son, Larry Eckhoff and wife, Pam; grandchildren, Brandon, Brandy and Jennifer; great grandchildren, Taylor, Trey and Trenton.

Funeral services will be held at 3:30 p.m., Friday, June 07, 2013 at Bayview Fisher-Pou Chapel with Dr. Barry Howard officiating.

Interment will follow at Bayview Memorial Park.

The family will receive friends from 2:30 p.m. until 3:30 p.m., Friday.

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Covenant Hospice, 5041 N. 12th Ave., Pensacola, FL 32504.
