Emma Patrica Fulir (Pat) of Pensacola, Florida, passed away on Tuesday the 12th of December at the age of 83. She was born August 16, 1940, in St. Louis, Missouri, but spent most of her childhood years in New Mexico, where her mother was from.
Pat had two children, Daniel and Wendy, from her first marriage, and later married Robert Fulir and together they had a daughter, Catherine (Cathy). They lived in several locations due to “Bob’s” job as a civilian aircraft mechanic for the Navy, moving from San Diego, California, to Gulf Breeze, Florida, and then later to York, Pennsylvania, and then returning to Pensacola, Florida, after Bob’s passing.
Pat worked as a presser in a local dry-cleaning business for several years before her retirement. Pat enjoyed sewing and cooking and watching her favorite TV show…NCIS. In her last few years Pat enjoyed gathering with her friends camping and cooking out while watching NASCAR and football. She decided that her favorite driver would be Kyle Larson in the #5 car!
She is preceded in death by her husband of 49 years, Robert “Bob” Fulir.
She is survived by her children Daniel and his wife Sandy, Wendy, and Cathy and her fiancé’, Lyn.
The family would like to thank the wonderful medical staff at Baptist Hospital, namely Dr. Janelle Bennet and nurse navigator Kristi Cobb for their dedicated care. Also the caring and compassionate staff at Peoples Home Health, with a special thank you to their hospice team, who made Mom’s final days comfortable and her passing peaceful.
Pat will be interred with Bob at Barrancas National Cemetery in a private ceremony.
