Ellis Miller, 80, of Molino, passed away on Wednesday, December 26, 2018. He is survived by his wife, Edna Hadley Miller; his children: Trecia (Paul) Cain, Elvin (Patsy) Miller and Nora Mae (Gerald) Lassiter; step-children: Wayne (Elaine) White, Michael (Terry) White, Carolyn (Wade) Cooper and Felecia Hensly; grandchildren: Matthew Trawick, Clara Walters, Josh Miller, James Miller, Amanda Cooley, Levi Cain, Justin Cain and Erika Forbes; step-grandchildren: Wendy, Kristina, Kimberly, Ronnie, Johnnie, Tim, Nicholas, Hope, Caitlin, Jeffery, Megan, Amie and 16 step-great-grandchildren; and great-grandchildren: Hunter, Luke, Cameron, Levi, Jr., Kalee, Wyatt, Kyleigh Jo, Emreigh, Jennifer and Taylor.
Mr. Miller retired from the State of Florida Forestry Department, after 38 years and from Escambia County after 11 years. He was a member of Hamilton Baptist Church in Robertsdale, Alabama.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the Friends of Florida State Forest, www.floridastateforests.org/donation-state-forest, select amount and select Blackwater State Forest.
Friends are cordially invited to a visitation with the family on Friday, January 4, 2019 from 5:00-7:00 p.m. at Eastern Gate Memorial Funeral Home. The service will be held on Saturday, January 5, 2019 at 11:00 a.m. at Eastern Gate.
