Ed "E.W." Gordon

A visitation for E.W. will be held Wednesday, May 17, 2023 from 9:30 AM to 10:00 AM at Eastern Gate Memorial Funeral Home, 1985 West Nine Mile Road, Pensacola, FL 32534, followed by a celebration of life funeral service with committal prayer from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM.

Eddie Washington Gordon Jr. (E.W.), 85, passed away May 11, 2023. He was the husband of Martha Nell Gordon. They shared 65 years together.

Born in Moultrie, GA, he was the son of Eddie Gordon Sr. and Eula Gordon. He attended college in Georgia and worked in the financing industry for most of his adult career until retirement. He was a member of Olive Baptist Church. He enjoyed his family, pets, and the Georgia Bulldogs. He will be remembered for his cheerful deposition even through the hard times until the end.

He is survived by his wife, Martha Gordon, children, Eddie Gordon (Rhonda), Greg Gordon, Gay Wallace, grandchildren, Jessica Price (Ben), Brad Gordon (Alyssa), Matt Van Matre, Kaily Ladnier (Braden), Danielle Costa-Giani (Diego), David Wallace, and great-grandchildren, Kaiden, Matthew, Cooper, Mason, Marleigh, Gracie, C.J., and many more loving family and friends.

He was predeceased by his father, Eddie Gordon Sr., his mother Eula Gordon, and sisters Betty Gaines and Danie Powell.

The funeral service will be held on May 17th at Eastern Gate Memorial Funeral Home with Pastor Don Neese officiating. The viewing/visitation will be held from 9:30AM to the time of service. Immediately following the service, we will gather for graveside rites.
