Duncan McCall Roberts, III, aged 80, passed away on August 6, 2024, in Canton, Mississippi. Born on June 1, 1944, in Monroeville, Alabama, he was a devoted husband, father, and grandfather who consistently exhibited a strong work ethic and high moral standards.
Duncan graduated from Evergreen High School before earning an accounting degree from Auburn University. He proudly served in the United States Army, which further instilled in him a sense of duty and commitment. His career was marked by notable success in fertilizer sales, having worked with Air Products and Chemicals, Mississippi Chemical Corporation, and Yara NA. His contributions to the Alabama Agribusiness Council earned him a Lifetime Achievement Award, underscoring his significant impact in the agribusiness sector.
Apart from his professional life, Duncan was an ardent sports fan, known for his unwavering support of the Auburn Tigers and his spirited "War Eagle!" cheers. Duncan was also an enthusiastic sportsman, having played high school football and later coaching soccer for his children, significantly contributing to the development of a major soccer complex in Pensacola, FL.
Duncan was an avid golfer, and his home in the Deerfield Golf Club community gave him ample opportunity to enjoy and perfect his skills, especially with the “Deerfield Seniors”. He enjoyed putting time and effort into yard work, resulting in lovely surroundings for him and his wife Annette to enjoy. One of his favorite activities was sitting on his back porch watching the abundant wildlife in and around the lake. He treasured every moment with his beloved wife and children; and “Daddy Dunk” especially adored his grandchildren, and he was blessed to enjoy many wonderful times with them, from holiday gatherings at family homes to adventurous trips across the country.
Duncan is survived by his loving wife, Annette Santucci Roberts; his children, Clayton Roberts (Rosemary) and Courtney Wall (Kerr); siblings, Thomas Roberts (Edyth) and Mary Santa Ana; and his cherished grandchildren, Caspian, Emerson, Jordan (Beau), and Taylor. He was preceded in death by his parents, Walter Lamar Roberts and Sarah Beatrice Vickrey; stepfather, Dave Snowden; and his son, Duncan McCall Roberts, IV.
A visitation for Duncan will be held Saturday, August 10, 2024 from 1:30 PM to 3:00 PM at Parkway Funeral Home & Parkway Memorial Cemetery, 1161 Highland Colony Pkwy, Ridgeland, Mississippi 39157.
Additional services will take place at Bayview Fisher-Pou Chapel & Bayview Memorial Park 3351 Scenic Hwy #90e, Pensacola, FL 32503, on Wednesday, August 14, 2024, from 1:00-2:00pm, followed by the Memorial Service and Interment at 2:00pm.

Duncan's life was marked by his commitment to his family, his career, and his community. His legacy of kindness, integrity, and dedication will be fondly remembered by all.
