Dotty, as she was affectionately known by her family and friends, was born in Gadsden, Alabama October 24, 1940, to Clarence Turner and Bonnie Marker Turner. She was preceded in death by her parents, her brother Clarence Turner, Jr., and her sister Barbara Ann Bone.
Dotty is survived by her husband, of 57 years James Pullen; her sons Jay Pullen (Geneva), Barry Pullen (Tina), Dan Pullen (Christine), and her grandchildren Claire (20), Daniel (20), Sam (17) and Elliot (16).
Dotty graduated from Gadsden High School, attended the University of Alabama, and later attended the University of Connecticut where she was encouraged by her English Professor to develop her aptitude for writing. Her story and published children’s book, “The Happy House” brought enjoyment to many children. Dotty enjoyed children’s literature, journaling, and writing. She was a corporate administrator for a Fortune 500 company in Stamford, CT.
She was a member of First Baptist Church Pensacola and was active in working at Samaritan Hands Ministry, WMU Facilitator, participating in Bible study, and volunteering. In Oklahoma City, she was president of PTA and honored with a lifetime membership by the State of Oklahoma. Dotty was a loving Wife, a wonderful Mother, and she loved her Lord with all her heart.

A memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m., Saturday, January 05, 2019 in Pleitz Chapel at First Baptist Church with Dr. Barry Howard officiating.
The family will receive friends from 1:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m., Saturday at the church.
