Dorothy "Dot" Tugwell McCants

Dot was born in Pensacola and moved to Jacksonville in 2010 from Pensacola. She was a cleric assistant at NAS Pensacola and University Hospital. Dot was a member of McIlwain Presbyterian Church. She enjoyed painting, working puzzles of all kinds and loved all types of music. Dot loved to laugh and had a beautiful smile. Her biggest joy was spending time with family and friends.

Dot was preceded in death by her husband, James E. McCants; granddaughter, Jana Werson; parents, Frank E. Tugwell and Daisy Cassibry Tugwell; brothers, Wilton, Robert, Frank and Roy Tugwell.

Survivors include her daughters, Jean McCants Yilling and husband David, Dorothy D. Werson and husband, Jan; grandson, Matthew Werson and wife Michelle; and two great grandchildren, Carter Werson and Graham Werson.

Services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, February 10, 2018 at Bayview Fisher-Pou Chapel with Rev. Jan Werson officiating. Interment will follow at Bayview Fisher-Pou Chapel.
