Doris Susan Goodson

1934 – 2011

Doris Susan Goodson, 76, passed away on March 18, 2011 in Pensacola, FL, surrounded by her family and friends.

She was born on March 19, 1934 in Ducktown, Tennessee to the late Robert and Rabie Ballew. She moved to Pensacola in 1974, became a licensed practical nurse and worked in various nursing homes in the area.

She is survived by her nieces and nephews, Thomas Faessel (Elaine), Dale Faessel (Dena), Richard Faessel (Joy), Holly Bennett (Mike) and Heidi Robar (Fred); eleven great nieces and nephews and two great great nephews. She also leaves behind dear friends in Pensacola, Mary Hovnanian, Penny and Tigger. She was active in water aerobics at West Florida for over ten years and was a lifetime member in the Order of the Eastern Star, East Hill Lodge #310 F & AM. She loved working in her yard and loved animals.

A graveside service will be held at 4:00 p.m., Monday, March 21, 2011 at Bayview Memorial Park.
