Dolores Frances Berry last residing in Pensacola, Florida passed away peacefully in the presence of her loving daughter Stella on April 10, 2023.
Dolores was born in Boston, MA on June 28, 1929, and lived a wonderful and fulfilled life. She had a difficult childhood, being orphaned at an early age, but overcame those difficulties by joining the Women’s Army Corp in 1949. She always loved her WAC days and met her husband of 61 years, William Budd Berry who was also a member of the United States Army. She left the army to support Budd’s career and raised three successful children. During retirement, Dolores and Budd traveled the country in a motorhome for almost 10 years. After the loss of Budd in 2012, Dolores moved to Florida to live with Stella. Dolores loved to dance, loved children and remained active for most of her life.
She is survived by her oldest son Bill, her daughter Stella, her youngest son, Jim, her three grandchildren, Jessica, Nicholas, and Fletcher and her two great grandchildren Samantha and Gwendolyn.
A service will be held at the Tahoma National Cemetery where she will join Budd at a date to be announced.
