She attended Escambia High School and Pensacola Adult High School. She graduated from Cosmetology School and worked as a cosmetologist for a number of years in Pensacola.
Diane possessed an immense love for cats. She enjoyed reading and studying the Bible and watching Christian TV programs. Her favorite scripture was John 3:16, "For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life." She was a member of Myrtle Grove Baptist Church.
Diane is survived by her husband, Samuel A. Mahoney of Pensacola, Florida; sister, Deborah Steed of Austin Texas; two nephews, Kendrick Haggerman of Pensacola, Florida and Brant Smith of Pensacola, Florida and three nieces, Heather Milam of Los Angeles, California, Tiffany Horgan of Austin, Texas and Megan Steed of Austin, Texas.
The family would like to express a special word of appreciation to Nellie Daniel for the care and concern shown to Diane during her sickness.
