Our wonderful mother and wife, Diane Kania went home to the Lord our God on Wednesday, May 10th, 2023, at her home in Pensacola FL. The wife of her surviving husband Edward Kania, they shared 61 years of marriage together. Born in Westbranch MI, daughter of Frank and Madeleyn. She has two sisters, Julie and Shirley.
Diane has three sons and three daughter in laws, Donald and Michelle, Michael and Laurie, and Randy and April. She is survived by her three sons and their wives, 7 grandchildren, and 2 great grandchildren, and 1 great grandchild. She was preceded in death by her grandson David.
In addition to being a loving wife and mother, Diane loved being an artist. She enjoyed sewing, scrapbooking, and arranging flowers, but her passion was painting. Her love of painting was second only to her love and commitment to her family. Her paintings hang in the homes of many of her friends and loved ones.
There will be a Celebration of Life in her honor to be scheduled at a later date. Wearing brightly colored clothes is requested, especially flower, butterfly, and bird designs. Per her wishes, her ashes will be scattered over the ocean in the Gulf of Mexico.
Anyone that knows Diane, knows she will not be content to rest in peace, she will fly on wings like eagles, she will soar the celestial skies, she will enter Heaven with childlike wonder and amazement on her face as eternity with Jesus and our Heavenly Father await her.
Mom loved kids, so in lieu of flowers, we ask that you make a donation to St. Judes.
