1945-2017
Dennis L. Kovich, 71, passed away suddenly at his home in Pensacola, Florida on May 4, 2017. Mr. Kovich was born in Colorado Springs, Colorado, the son of Lawrence J. and Alice M. Kovich. He is survived by his twin brother Todd (Peg) and brothers Tom (Donna) and Steve; sister Cathy; children Deborah MacIntosh (Jennifer) and Phillip; nieces Heather (Andrew Weber); and Emily (Roland); nephews Matthew, Graham and Ian.
After graduating from St. Francis de Sales High School in Toledo, Ohio, Dennis enlisted in the U.S. Navy where he honorably served for more than 20 years, achieving the rank of Chief. Upon retiring from the Navy, Dennis became the Liaison between the U.S. Navy, NSA, and Ford Aerospace while working at Ford Aerospace. Even after retirement Dennis continued to exhibit his impressive computer knowledge and skills, frequently offering assistance to those less adept in this area. Dennis was a lover of animals and acquired many friends in his lifetime. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him.
Friends are cordially invited to a visitation with the family from 9:30-10:30 a.m. on Wednesday May 10, 2017 at Eastern Gate Memorial Funeral Home, immediately followed by a service. Burial will follow services at Barrancas National Cemetery at 12 noon with full military honors. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Wounded Warrior Project.
