David Marvin Johnson

David was born on September 3, 1954 in Fresno, CA. He joined the U.S. Army as a young man and worked for his father, Milton Marvin Johnson, at his newspaper business in San Francisco, CA. He moved to Gulf Breeze, FL in 1990 with his family and owned/brokered a real estate company. He then retired to Estero, FL to be with his children.

David enjoyed coaching his children’s sports activities, traveling across the US with his family, and good ole fashioned American food. He loved his dogs like family and was loved by those who knew him best.

He is survived by his two children, Philip Johnson and Jennifer Fernandez, his grandson Logan Johnson, and his three “grandbabies” Pebbles, Snowflake, and Leo.

Visitation will be held on Friday, March 18, 2016 at Bayview Fisher-Pou Chapel from 2:00 – 3:00 p.m, followed by the funeral service at 3:00 p.m. Interment will follow at Bayview Memorial Park.
