Charles was born on April 7th 1962, to Durl Thompson and Mattie Perdue Thomas in Milton, FL. He spent most of his life in Pensacola but loved to travel and made friends everywhere he went. He made it his mission in life to spread his love with the people he met and was not shy to lend a hand to anyone in need. Charles always had a love for children, and his grandchildren were the most important thing in his life. He saw children as God’s most precious gift. Charles had very strong faith and kept his bible with him on all his travels and quoted scripture daily.
Charles was preceded in death by his parents; Mattie Perdue Thomas and Durl Thompson and precious granddaughter Kaylen. He is survived by his children; Durl Thompson, Elijah (Nicole) Thompson, Meghan (Corey) Benham, brothers; Danny Thompson & Zebadiah Thomas, sister; Cindy (John) Keith, nephews; Maciah Keith-Thompson and Chris (Amanda) Spaar, father; Murfey Thomas and his grandchildren; Brianna, Jayden, Jaylen, Durl, Zane & Talon as well as many cousins, aunts, uncles and friends. We have comfort knowing he is watching over us all from heaven.
Services will be held at Oak Lawn Funeral Home, 619 North New Warrington Rd.,
Pensacola, FL 32506.
Viewing begins at 11:30 a.m. service begins at 1:30 p.m. Saturday, August 11th.
