Charles Edward Jellison, 90, of Pensacola, Florida passed away Saturday, June 8, 2024. He was born on April 9, 1934, in Portland, Indiana to the late Charles and Mary Jellison. His brother Don Jellison also preceded him in death.
Ed will be especially missed by his loving and devoted wife of 66 years, Nancy Jellison, three children, Linda (Jim) Harwood, Mark Jellison, and Susan Oakes; five grandchildren, Nichol (Jeremy) Moore, Holly (Eric) Joyner, Jimmy (April) Harwood, Adam (Dominique) Jellison, and Nancy (Javier) Sosa; eleven great grandchildren, Austin, Grey, Noah, Dean, Sophie, Hudson, Stefanie, Luca, Sawyer, Sadie and Janie.
Ed retired in 1980 as a Senior Chief Air Traffic Controller in the United States Navy after 26 years of service and retired in 2003 as a GS-12 from Civil Service in Pensacola, FL after 23 years of service. He received many outstanding awards along the way.
In lieu of flowers, the family has requested donations be made in Ed’s memory to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital in Memphis, TN.
The Burial Service at Barrancas National Cemetery will be held on Monday, June 24th, 2024 at 9:30am. Please contact Oak Lawn Funeral Home with inquiries in regards to getting on the Navy base to attend the service.
