Carrie Layton Hernandez, 69, born in Auburn, Nebraska, passed away on June 28, 2017. She was a long-time resident of Pensacola. Carrie was preceded in death by her husband, John Hernandez, who she lovingly cared for. She is also preceded in death by one brother. She is survived by two sons, Mark & Michael Larkin, two daughters: Michelle Adkinson and Lisa (Dave) Pierce, a step-daughter Janiel (Dennis) Artis, daughter-in-law Esther Flores, five grandchildren, three great-grandchildren (one on the way), her niece Leann Therrell and her three children, and one sister.
At one time Carrie loved to crochet. She will be remembered by her collection of bears and flowers. She loved her animals, especially Astropup. They will sorely miss her, as will her family and friends.
A graveside service will be held on Monday, July 10, 2017 at 2:00 p.m. at Eastern Gate Memorial Gardens.
Eastern Gate Memorial Funeral Home has been entrusted with the arrangements.
