Bonnie J Butler, 77, died on Thursday, June 30, at her home in Lillian, AL. Although she had been in ill-health the past two years, her death was sudden and unexpected. Bonnie was born on June 21, 1939 to Wayne G and Geraldine L Trylch of Saginaw, MI. She will eventually be interred at Barrancas National Cemetery near her parents.
After living the life of "a Navy wife" for over 23 years, she finally made her home in the Pensacola/Lillian area for 42 years. Bonnie was an avid reader and loved to travel. She took many cruises and loved to visit places such as Hong Kong, Australia, New Zealand, Hawaii and the Caribbean. Bonnie was a people person which was apparent to everyone, including those at her job as manager of Lynn's Hallmark in University Mall. Bonnie was warm and friendly which was evident to all who knew her.
She was preceded in death by both of her parents and son-in-law Michael Zubor of Southlake, TX. Survivors include her husband of 58 years, James; daughters: Kimberly Zubor of Southlake, TX and Tamara (Pete) Wehrly of Jacksonville, FL; five grandchildren: Christopher (Taylor) Bishop of Milton, FL; Jennifer Bishop of Portland, OR; Jason (Stephanie) Zubor of Fort Worth, TX; Linda Wollschlager of Niceville, FL; Kristen (Charles) Earley of Norman, OK; four great-granddaughters: Jasmine, Coralyne, Brooklyne and Addalyne; aunt: Katherine Trylch of East Tawas, Michigan; brother-in-law: Lionel (Pat) Butler of Painesville, OH. She will be missed by all who knew and loved her.
A celebration of her life will take place at Oak Lawn Funeral Home on Friday, July 8, 2016 at 4:00 PM. The family will receive friends in the chapel event room following the celebration located at 619 N. New Warrington Road Pensacola, Fl., 32506. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to her favorite charity: St. Jude of Memphis, TN or any charity of choice. Oak Lawn Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
