Bobby L. Curry (82) went home to Jesus after a courageous battle with cancer. He passed away peacefully on July 5th surrounded by his loved ones. Bobby was born in Logan County, WVA on April 22, 1939 and retired from the U.S. Navy after 20 years of honorable service.
Bobby was a kind, compassionate and gentle man and a loving and faithful husband and father. He lived his life to glorify God and was completely devoted to serving Him by serving others in his family, church and community. Bobby is survived by his lovely wife Ann, his four children Joseph (Heather), Theresa (Neil), Christina (Enzo) and Daniel (Claudia); 6 grandchildren Wesley, Daniel, Aldo, MaryAnn, Michael and Katie and 3 great-grandchildren Colsson, Logan and Olivia. He is also survived by his brothers Billy Joe and Larry Curry and predeceased by his brother James Curry and sister Carol Ann Phelps.
There will be a Celebration of Life on Monday, July 12, 2021 from 11:00 am to 12:00 pm, with Funeral Service to follow at 12:00 pm at Oak Lawn Funeral Home followed by a full military burial at Barrancas National Cemetery on NAS Pensacola at 1:00 pm. It was Bobby's wish that any memorial tributes be made in the form of charitable donations to the Florida Baptist Children's Home, 1000 Chemstrand Road, Cantonment, FL 32533 or the Prostate Cancer Foundation, 1250 Fourth Street, Santa Monica, CA 90401.
